The National Cybersecurity Center, NCSC, is looking for an IT Security Specialist to participate in building the center's operations at FRA. Your mission
As an IT Security Specialist, you will belong to the NCSC department. The department is newly established at FRA and is currently under construction. As part of this development, the unit has been newly established, allowing for significant growth opportunities in the role.
As an IT Security Specialist, you contribute to the ability to conduct IT security analyses and provide technical advice, doing so as part of an experienced team with deep knowledge. Daily work occurs both independently and in small, mixed-competence teams assembled for various assignments. The role involves internal and external contacts – both with other operations and collaborating authorities.
Your tasks include:
- Assisting with expert knowledge during incidents.
- Participating in various forms of advice and contributing expertise to strengthen our analysis work.
- Compiling the results of reviews in written reports.
- Collaborating with partners.
- Participating in various forms of advice and contributing expertise from an attacker and/or defense perspective to strengthen protection and reports.
- In the long term, you will also conduct IT security audits through, among other things, penetration tests.
Travel is required for the position, both domestically and internationally.
The work is conducted on-site at NCSC, with some opportunity for remote work if the job allows. In the event of incidents, it may be required for you to work irregular hours.

We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in, for example, computer engineering or another relevant field that includes IT security, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
- 5 years of work experience with IT-related tasks.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more relevant technical areas for the position, e.g., applications, operating systems, system administration, intrusion detection, virtual platforms, system development, web applications, hardware, or access control systems and AI.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We consider it advantageous if you have:
- Relevant certification in IT security.
- Experience with technical IT security audits/penetration tests.
- Good knowledge of and practical experience with offensive security tools.
- Experience in other IT security areas, such as IT forensics, incident management, or security monitoring.
- A driving license (B).

The workplace is currently located in Tomteboda, Solna. In a few years, new premises will be ready in Bergshamra. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security vetted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed in a military position.
